Rating of the video: The Quantum Indians
I rated this video 5 out of 5 because how it described the 3 geniuses. Unlike the other video, I also enjoyed this topic because it had to do with science. The video described what each scientist did and how they contributed to the modern world of science.

Summary:
The video started talking about the first few moments after the big bang and then about bosons and the man who discovered them-Satyendra Nath Bose. The discovery of bosons is claimed in the world as the greatest scientific discovery of that generation. India is regretting the fact that they have forgotten one of their own. In fact, India’s government calls him a forgotten hero. When he was unknown he once sent Albert Einstein a letter in 1924 that would change physics forever. One of the speakers, Professor Partha Ghose, describes three great scientists: Planck who came up with the idea of Quantum, Einstein with his theory that light contains photons and travel in a wave, and Bohr in 1913 who developed the Bohr model of the atom and how electrons revolve around the nucleus. Ghose says that the 4th shot was Bose. At the same time Bose was counting photons; two other scientists named C.V. Raman and Meghnad Saha both had their own new theories about different subjects in physics. Raman gave us the Raman Effect and changed the way we see color today and Saha produced an equation that explained stellar radiation and is considered the father of modern Astrophysics. C.V. Raman was also the only “Indian” who was awarded a Nobel Prize for science. However, when he got on the stage, he cried because his country did not have a flag of his own therefore he won the prize as a British. Because of this, he dedicated his prize to the freedom fighters of India. When Bose discovered that the old statistics of light and photons didn’t add up, he made new stats called Bose statistics. He later sent this to Einstein and he was delighted to see this letter about the new stats. This was the paper he was looking for all along! Bose became a very famous name overnight in the world of physics. Einstein wrote back to him stating his work was a beautiful step forward and Bose was immediately granted permission to travel to Europe to meet Einstein. Bose has helped us in many ways today. Without him we wouldn’t have lasers or fiber optic communications. He passed away on February 4th, 1974.

Sightseeing in India

3: Mumbai-
Sanjay Gandhi National Park (aka Borivali National Park) was very big and the best part was the Kanheri caves. There werw about 100 caves and each had a carving of the Buddha. I also found some text on one of the caves walls written in an ancient script! We went to the top and we could see all of Mumbai. Juhu Beach? Juhu ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple? Thane Boat & Chariot Ride?

5: Dehradun-
We saw HESCO's projects and models. We also saw a water mill and prasad factory. We also went to a place called Sastradhara (literally thousands streams) which contains natural spring with Sulfur water. Over there if one bathes in it, then that person won't get any skin diseases. If one drinks it then no stomach viruses. On the last day we went to a Sikh place of worship called a Gurdwara and also went to a buddhist temple.

1: Mussoorie-
We saw great views of the high Himalayas in Mussoorie. We also went to the Mall road and Maggi point. When we went up to the top (Landour aka Char Dukan), we saw a school for learning hindi and foreigners from the US were sitting there.

6: Jammu-
Amar Mahal was like the Biltmore Estate. It was a big house for Maharaj Amar Singh.

4: New Delhi-
Akshardham was one of the mandirs that I liked. Usually I don't want to see mandirs but this one stood out. As a grand finale, we went to a musical fountain show. As different notes and pitches played, the colorful water rose and fell. We also went to the red fort where on Aug 15, the prime minister gives a speech to india. Rajghat was the place where Gandhi ji was cremated. It was okay. There was a garden to walk and pay tributes to Gandhi ji. The  Lotus temple was a temple that was very unique. The structure from a top-view looked like a lotus. The people that go there are mainly Bahá'í's followers. Qutab minar was a stone pillar with arabic text on it. It is 238 ft or 72.5 m tall. In the same place, there is an iron pillar that is "rust proof". We saw the capital region and India Gate. We noticed that all the buildings were symmetrical.

2: Agra-
In agra I saw one of the most amazing wonders of the world. I saw the Taj Mahal! It is a white marble mausoleum. It was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife. It took 22 yrs to build. Fatehpur Sikri means "victory place". It was for Emperor Akbar and his 3 wives.

Trouble Story

Last week me and my friends, Mithali and Nain, came over to our house for a sleepover, and we got into lots of trouble. We were playing a game called ‘Speed Catch’ in the house. Mithali accidentally knocked the ball over the lit candle and a fire started! I felt worried, wondering (since I’ve never seen a fire in my own house before even though I felt like running. I got a bucket full of water.

I splashed water all over the fire, and SPLASH the fire went out. I got punished for playing Speed Catch in house, my mom told me to go and play quietly in my room.

I wished I had not played ‘Speed Catch’. We decided to play wii. To make up my for my mistake, I did my chores for a week without any allowance. The lesson I learned is to be careful when you’re playing.

Ants

I am the powerful ant,
Killing preditors and others.
I may be small but there's nothing I can't,
Did you that ants have brothers?
I live in a colony that is big,
We are also divided in groups.
You may have heard of anthills that we dig.
When danger occurs we become troops.
Some hairy, tiny ants are red,
Some of our colony are black,
Mistaken for blacks, the reds bite people instead.
When our enemies invade, we attack.
The monsters that humans drive
With them we cannot survive

Soccer

Soccerball is spinning.
Outs are often in a match.
Can't make fouls.
Cramps easily happen.
England tied U.S. 1-1.
Red cards are worse than yellow cards.
